 The Shreve-Kegley  Family

Of Vernon County, Wisconsin

Under no circumstances should anyone do web hosting with Ucvhost.com, the scumbag former

web host here. I apologize for not spotting the takeover of this site earlier.

.       This branch of the family arose from Albert Kegley marrying  Armilda Shreve in 1884 and John Eden Shreve  marrying Ida Kegley in 1886.  Both Shreves were  children of John Smith Shreve and both Kegleys were the children of Elias Kegley. All lived in the area of the former village of DeBello, in Greenwood Township, Vernon County, Wisconsin.

Note - If any living relative has interesting anecdotes about specific ancestors or  about  themselves, either at Debello or those who came from there, I would be interested in preserving them before we lose even more of the information to deaths. I mentally kick myself at all thez-albertnarmilda.jpg (280110 bytes) information lost when my grandfather, Arch Shreve, died.  Even after that, I could have asked questions of Winnie Bruce  regarding George Kegley. But I didn't. Don't you be this way. Put them together and e-mail me with your information at drshreve  of  gmail.com. This is an e-mail address, but written out so that the spammers stop finding it. There will be a web page waiting for your information. Snail mail is all right too, but I am  not a fast typist, so don't expect a fast turn around.

This website is a work in progress. As I get time to add to it, I will. It also seeks to show some of the history of the pioneer Shreves and Kegleys in the Vernon County area of Wisconsin and to give some understanding of the genealogies of the families. images/RussellandElaine.jpg (21267 bytes)                    l
