Debello Cemetery, near Hillsboro, Wisconsin

To get to this cemetery, go south on highway 80 from Hillsboro until Beaver Creek Road, where you will turn right. Follow it until you see county EE, where you turn left and drive a bit. The cemetery will be on your left. Also see maps on this link.

The cemetery is within what used to be the village of Debello. What remains of that community is the cemetery and the name, Debello Ridge. All four of  the Shreves and Kegleys who intermarried are buried at this Cemetery. 

The following census is courtesy of the Hillsboro Museum and it was written from what could be actually discerned of the markers.  I have only corrected very obvious spelling errors mostly made by my scanner.  There are a few problems I see in some of the grave stones and I plan to double check them for accuracy in August 2001.

The Debello Cemetery is located in Section 23 in Greenwood Twp. This one is by lots. There are no monuments on the empty lots, although someone may be buried there.
